Move One Million campaign held in R’fontein
Stop complaining, start doing – Move One Million during visit to Randfontein.
Residents might have seen people standing on the corner of Homestead Avenue and Kenneth Road in Greenhills on Saturday, 26 September.
They are supporters of the Move One Million campaign. Leoni Coetzee, Field Representative for Gauteng Far West Rand, explained that the campaign aims to unite all South Africans, as a diverse nation, to take action for their rights collectively by organising the largest peaceful demonstration in the history of South Africa.
According to Leoni, Move One Million stands for a South Africa that is undivided.
“We stand for one South Africa without crime and corruption, ruled by truth and justice – a South Africa for all, regardless of race, religion or language. We held our campaign to create awareness,” said Leoni.
With the campaign they wish to enforce their constitutional rights by implementing #DirectElections, whereby South Africans elect their leaders directly so that they can be held accountable.
“It is for a future where all South Africans are guided by their love for their country.”
