Rand West City now has 3 476 confirmed cases of Covid-19

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 26 August is 13 305, with 240 deaths and 10 841 recoveries. There are 52 new cases.

As at 26 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 3 476, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 2 919 people have recovered so far.

Rand West City reports 3 464 cases of Covid-19

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 934 and 2 803 cases respectively. There are 92 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 5 518 and 2 404 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 26 August is 13 305, with 240 deaths and 10 841 recoveries. There are 52 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 852, with 9 601 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 207 610, with 176 513 recoveries and 3 395 deaths.

A total number of 3 072 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
