Rand West City now has 3 451 confirmed cases of Covid-19 with 2 852 recoveries

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 23 August is 13 196, with 235 deaths and 10 637 recoveries. There are 58 new cases. 

As at 23 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 3 451, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 2 852 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 867 and 2 786 cases respectively. There are 92 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 5 418 and 2 367 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 23 August is 13 196, with 235 deaths and 10 637 recoveries. There are 58 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 784, with 9 443 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 206 018, with 172 612 recoveries and 3 268 deaths.

A total number of 3 276 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
