Rand West City now has 3 265 confirmed cases of Covid-19; 216 deaths in the District

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 13 August is 12 604, with 216 deaths and 10 419 recoveries. There are 57 new cases.

As at 13 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 3 265, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 2 798 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 559 and 2 689 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 5 301 and 2 320 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 13 August is 12 604, with 216 deaths and 10 419 recoveries. There are 57 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 361, with 8 469 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 195 820, with 154 392 recoveries and 2 791 deaths.

A total number of 4 125 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
