Rand West City reports 2 750 recoveries from Covid-19

As at 11 August, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 3 240, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 2 750 people have recovered so far.

Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stands at 3 232; deaths in the District pass the 200 mark

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 6 521 and 2 668 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 5 240 and 2 306 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 11 August is 12 520, with 206 deaths and 10 296 recoveries. There are 43 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 10 301, with 8 205 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 194 093, with 150 082 recoveries and 2 653 deaths.

A total number of 4 178 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
