Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stands at 2 749 as Gauteng reports 62% recoveries

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 28 July is 10 841, with 151 deaths and 7 333 recoveries. There are 113 new cases.

As at 28 July, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 2 749, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 1 923 people have recovered so far.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 5 666 and 2 335 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 3 716 and 1 694 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 28 July is 10 841, with 151 deaths and 7 333 recoveries. There are 113 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 9 093, with 5 875 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 164 548, with 102 519 recoveries and 1 680 deaths.

A total number of 4 804 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
