Rand West City now has 1 800 confirmed cases of Covid-19

Currently, 5 576 people are being treated for the virus in public and private hospitals in the province.

As at 15 July, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Rand West City stood at 1 800, according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown. A total of 490 people have recovered so far.

Rand West City now has 1 703 confirmed cases of Covid-19; 74 deaths reported in the district

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 3 972 and 1 669 cases respectively. There are 91 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale City and Merafong City have seen 1 109 and 709 recoveries respectively.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District as 15 July is 7 532, with 76 deaths and 2 308 recoveries. There are 411 new cases.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 6 710, with 2 994 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 112 714, with 45 743 recoveries and 767 deaths.
