Spokesperson confirms Randfontein Police Station temporarily closed for decontamination due to Covid-19 incident.

The Randfontein Police Station is the latest facility to have been temporarily closed due to Covid-19.

Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, the Randfontein Police spokesperson confirmed the station is temporarily closed for decontamination due to a Covid-19 incident.

“All communities serviced by Randfontein Police Station are advised that the police station has been temporarily closed after another member tested positive for Covid-19. The community is advised to call 10111 for all complaints and emergencies that need to be attended to by Randfontein Police Station. The telephone lines at Randfontein Police Station Community Service Centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. The building will be undergoing decontamination. Police management apologise for any inconvenience that may arise from this.

The station will however be fully operational again from tomorrow, 10 July,” she added.
