Rand West City now has 862 confirmed cases of Covid-19

A total number of 2 553 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.

The Gauteng Department of Health has reported that the West Rand has 3 948 confirmed cases of Covid-19 as of 5 July with 971 recoveries and 36 deaths.

Rand West City accounts for 862 of these cases with 213 recoveries.

The total number of confirmed cases in Gauteng is 63 404 with 18 585 recoveries and 353 deaths.

Out of a total of 34 952 contacts traced within the province, 22 390 people have completed the 14-day monitoring period with no symptoms and have now been de-isolated.

A total number of 2 553 people are currently hospitalised in public and private facilities in the province.
