Five injured in truck-vehicle crash

Medics assessed the patients and found that five people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Five people were injured when a light motor vehicle and a truck collided on Welverdiend Road in Carletonville on Monday morning, 29 June.

Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said paramedics arrived on the scene at about 9am to find the truck lying on its roof on the side of the road, while the light motor vehicle was found in the road.

“Six people were found walking around on the scene. Medics assessed the patients and found that five people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries were sustained. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.”

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
