Come and support 'the biggest drive-by party' for senior citizens at the newly established Wings of Inspiration elderly Care Centre on 27 June.

Residents of Randfontein are being urged to support a drive-by party for the senior citizens at the newly established Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre in Wilbotsdal this Saturday, 27 June.

Linda Hugo, one of the organisers of the party along with Liza Janse van Rensburg – sponsor of the cupcakes – said this special event will be held from 10am to 2pm. The address is 56 Ventersdorp Road, Wilbotsdal.

“Come and exchange a bag of food to the value of R100, or a donation, for a box of six Covid-19 themed cupcakes. There will be 100 boxes available for exchange.

The 28 residents depend on us and we have to help them. Please come and support us,” she said.

Wings of Inspiration, a Christian-based non-profit company in Roodepoort has taken the elderly residents of Have A Heart Care Centre under its wing permanently and moved them to the newly established Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre in Wilbotsdal.

According to Anthea Da Costa, a biblical counsellor and one of the directors of Wings of Inspiration, “We have moved them into our own premises situated on Ventersdorp Street in Randfontein. It’s now called Wings of Inspiration Elderly Care Centre.”

On Friday, 19 June, all of them were treated to some cake, hot food and gifts to celebrate with five of the residents who had birthdays that week.
