Rand West City Covid-19 cases near the 150 mark

One new death and 55 new cases in the West Rand District according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown of Covid-19 cases.

Rand West City’s total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 148 with 20 recoveries.

This is according to Gauteng Provincial Government’s latest breakdown per district as at 14 June.

The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in the West Rand District is 852 with seven deaths and 288 recoveries.

Mogale City and Merafong City, which are also part of the West Rand District, have had 299 and 321 cases respectively. There are still 84 unallocated cases in this District as well. Mogale and Merafong have seen 69 and 199 recoveries respectively.

In the neighbouring City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality Region C, which comprises Roodepoort, the number of confirmed cases to date stands at 599, with 168 recoveries.

As at 14 June, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Gauteng was standing at 11 164, with 3 348 recoveries and seven deaths. Currently 565 people are being treated for the virus in public and private hospitals in the province.
