They are encouraged by the words of Paul when he wrote to the community of Rome in Romans 12:13, saying, “Share your belongings with your needy fellow Christian and open your homes to strangers”.

Through this scripture, they bring hope to their brothers and sisters.”He has promised us He will never leave us nor forsake us.”In addition, Tshepo Davies-Mongwe, 25, said people are unable to fend for themselves due to the Covid-19 lockdown regulations.

“They are now dependent on government and good Samaritans like us for their daily bread,” Tshepo said.

He said as the Youth League they were forced by circumstances to roll up their sleeves and swing into action, citing Deuteronomy 15:10 in the New International Version (NIV) Bible that says, “Give generously to them and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to”.
