Animal Sanctuary appeals for help

You can help keep the animals at Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary warm this winter.

The nights are getting colder and animals also need that bit of warmth.

Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary in Wilbotsdal is appealing to the public to help them ensure the animals in their care stay snug and warm this winter.

According to Louisa Rossouw, owner and founder of the sanctuary, they are in desperate need of blankets, dry food, soft toys for cats and dogs, as well as cleaning products like bleach, fabric conditioner, dishwashing liquid, pine gel, disinfectant fluid, vinegar, black bags and brooms.

Donations can be dropped off at Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary or at the Culemborg Veterinary Clinic, or can be picked up. Contributions can also be paid into the Cast Aways bank account.

Louisa added, “Cast Aways Animal Sanctuary is pro life. This means that we are committed to giving every pet that we rescue a happy and safe haven where they can feel comfortable, be fed and get medical treatment if needed until they are placed in their new permanent home.

“We do not euthanise any healthy pets as everyone deserves a second chance. We have made it our mission to put homeless pets into the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way. To provide the animals in our care with the best shelter, medical attention and diet we need the public to assist.”
