Woman searches for missing parrot since 7 March

'My heart is broken. He is my only pet. Roger is my everything – he is like a child and a friend.'

A woman’s beloved two-year-old African Grey male named Roger is missing.

According to Bernidette Beukes, its owner, Roger flew away from their home at the corner of Mimosa Avenue and Owl Road in Greenhills on 7 March.

“I usually sit outside with Roger and on that day I had a braai. Some hadedas scared him and he flew off.”

According to Bernidette she and Roger had a special bond. He has played a major role in her recovery from various back and stomach surgeries over the past few years. He was also given to her to help her cope with depression.
