Driving licence testing centres to commence duties on 1 June

No person will be allowed to enter a driving licence testing centre (DLTC), registering authority, vehicle testing station or driving school without a face mask

Driving licence testing centres (DLTC), registering authorities, vehicle testing stations (VTS) and driving schools will resume their services from 1 June, subject to the prescribed hygiene, infection control, social-distancing and sanitizing measures.

Arrive Alive reported on their website, that all learner’s licences, driving licences, temporary driver’s licences, motor vehicle licence discs, temporary permits, roadworthy certificates and professional driving permits (PDP) that expire during the period from 26 March to 31 May are deemed valid, and their validity period is further extended by 90 days from 1 June.

Motor trade number licences that expire during the period from 26 March to 31 May, are deemed to be valid and extended for a further grace period of six months from 20 May.

No person will be allowed to enter a driving licence testing centre (DLTC), registering authority, vehicle testing station or driving school without a face mask, or a homemade mask that covers the nose and mouth.

All DLTCs, registering authorities, vehicle testing stations and driving schools must put in place procedures for cleaning and disinfecting their premises prior to commencing their services on 1 June.

All DLTCs, registering authorities, vehicle testing stations and driving schools must put social-distancing measures in place.
