Multi Charity receives donation from Muslim Woman of R’fontein

'It is incredible to see how the community can stand together when times are tough.'

Multi Charity Randfontein staff could not believe their eyes when the Muslim Woman of Randfontein group made much-needed food-parcel donations to their organisation on Tuesday, 7 April.

“We thought of all the people without any income or food on their table during the lockdown. We may not have much but God has provided, so we need to think of others as well,” said Shamima Kader, a member of Muslim Woman of Randfontein.

She added that they donated eight parcels to Monica Lancellas, owner of the Multi Charity Randfontein, so she can help those in need.

Monica said it was a complete surprise to them and they are so grateful because now they will be able to help eight families that are in need of food.

“This was unplanned. It is incredible to see how the community can stand together when times are tough.” It feels like there is hope, because of people like the Muslim Woman of Randfontein, she added.
