Toekies couple looks out for the needy in lockdown

Family shares bread with the needy residents of Toekomsrus

A family of Toekomsrus donated more than 600 loaves of bread to the hungry and needy residents during lockdown.

According to Shane Stapleton and his wife Gizalotte, who is also his business partner, this is part of their good Samaritan project.

He said through their company, GS& Sons, they want to help bring relief to as many poverty-stricken families as they can.

“We are doing this because we truly want to help those in need. We fully understand the situation they are facing,” Shane said, adding, “It is great to see others doing the same around the country.”

Gizalotte continued to say, “We have decided to do this because it hurts to see children without parents desperate for something to eat. In other cases people no longer have jobs and now they feel helpless.”

The couple is confident that the initiative will bring hope to people in dire need, rather than resorting to crime.

“Some may think it is only bread, but someone’s livelihood may depends on it,” Gizalotte said.
