Covid-19: South African websites helping to spread the message – Stay at Home

A company based in Johannesburg is assisting businesses to add the South African Government Corona Virus Portal to their landing pages

South African domains, as of 26 March, ending in .za are required to link to the South African Government Corona Virus Portal on their home/ landing page in a way that is visible to site users.

The message “Do your part, Stay home” is particularly important. Many people are of the opinion that the virus won’t kill them because they are young and healthy.

This leads to people circumventing the rules. With everyone on the front lines risking their lives, and with immense pressure on the economy, it is vital that everyone do their part to end this lockdown, especially if that part is staying home.

With this in mind, Associated Computer Solutions (Pty) Ltd, a South African company, based in Johannesburg, created a banner that companies will be able to copy and paste into their site html to link to sacoronavirus.co.za as well as display the current stats.

The banner updates automatically.
