Cooking guide during lockdown: Peppermint tart

A yummy peppermint crisp tart recipe to try.

If you are stuck at home and craving something sweet during lockdown, why not try a super easy sweet-tooth recipe?

Michelle Roodt, Herald journalist, shared her homemade peppermint crisp tart recipe, which is quick and easy for everyone to enjoy!

Ingredients that you will need:

• 150g Peppermint Crisp chocolate, crushed

• 1 can of Caramel Treat

• 2 packets of Tennis biscuits

• 500ml of fresh cream

How to make it:

Place the Tennis biscuits in rows on the bottom of a dish; if there are open spaces you can break some of the biscuits in half to fill them.

Place the caramel in a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. In a separate bowl, whisk the cream until thick. Add the whipped cream and half the Peppermint Crisp chocolate to the caramel and mix together.

Spread the half the Peppermint Crisp mixture onto the Tennis biscuits, and repeat the layer. For the final step, sprinkle some crushed Tennis biscuits and Peppermint Crisp chocolate on top. Place in the fridge for three hours until tart is set.
