Good Samaritan makes masks for the elderly

A Samaritan decided to do a good deed by making masks to protect the elderly while they collected their pension.

Although we are requested to #StayAtHomeSA during the nation-wide lockdown, there are still those who need to be out and about, for example to collect their pension.

Thanks to Mapogo A Mathamaga Security, some elderly and pensioners were able to do so.

On Monday, 30 March, Mapogo A Mathamaga Westonaria Reaction Force Manager, Gerald Botha, was contacted by a client who asked him if they would be able to assist her in handing out face masks to the elderly who were either queuing or en route to collect pensions in Westonaria.

“The Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, made the masks herself as a gesture of goodwill towards her community,” said Herman Coetzee, Operations Manager at Mapogo.
