Nation-wide lockdown: Mapogo to protect and serve, mask and all

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security revealed their plan to protect and serve the town during Covid-19 nation-wide lockdown.

With only essential businesses remaining open during the 21-day nation-wide lockdown effective from midnight on 26 March, Mapogo A Mathamaga Security stated that they have a massive task ahead of them to ensure the safety of their staff, clients as well as the broader community.

According to Herman Coetzee, Mapogo’s Operations Manager, they believe firmly that together with the above-mentioned stakeholders they are able to secure and protect during the 21-day lockdown.

“For our operations department, which includes Armed Response / Guarding / Control Room and CCTV Control Room, it is business as usual with minimum contact from person to person.”

Herman added that they have rolled out additional staff and vehicles for the duration of the lockdown in order to prevent and deter criminal activity as far as possible.

“A contingent of our office staff will not be working from the office as we have set them up remotely at their homes to adhere to the lockdown as far as possible.”

Herman stated that they will be unable to accept any cash payments at their offices during this period and requested clients to make use of electronic or direct banking to ensure service delivery.

“We therefore urge our clients to communicate via telephone or email as far as possible. We will have staff at the office – who is fully compliant with the regulations set in place by the Department of Health – who can offer assistance in case of an emergency.”

Herman ensured that their armed response services control room and guarding services will operate as normal, but they again ask clients to please phone their control room on 010 492 4321 in order to cancel all false alarms, thus ensuring minimum contact from person to person.

“With God’s grace we can conquer this virus. Have a safe lockdown. #togetherwestand.”
