EPR’s plan to protect town during Covid-19 lockdown

EPR West Rand said with the community's help they can fight two enemies – Covid-19 and crime – but they need their clients' help.

Only a few businesses will remain open throughout the nationwide lockdown period, and EPR Security is one of them.

Having been excluded from the list of businesses that are forced to close their doors, Johan Krogh, General Manager of EPR West Rand, released a notice to their clients regarding the lockdown as of midnight on Thursday, 26 March.

”For us and our dedicated staff it is business as usual, but we need assistance from our clients and the public to proceed and to be effective in the fight against crime,” he said.

Regarding the safety of staff while protecting their clientele base, he said, “With the assistance of Netcare 911, we will closely monitor staff for any signs of the virus. We have a policy in place that includes the use of masks and hand sanitizers, and strongly recommend our clients not to make physical contact with our staff when they attend to an alarm activation, and to maintain at least a three-metre distance from our staff,” he said.

He added their offices will not be open to the public, but they can reach EPR Security on 086 169 2195.

“We wish everyone a safe lockdown, and with everyone’s cooperation, this virus will be defeated,” he said.
