Shot fired in Culemborg Park home invasion

‘Suspects also attempted to drag the homeowner’s wife outside the house’ - security company.

A shot was fired during an apparent home invasion in Culemborg Park on Sunday night, 23 February.

Mapogo A Mathamaga Security confirmed to the Herald they received a panic signal at a house in Da Gama Street on Sunday evening.

”At least four armed suspects jumped a wall and entered the house,” said Herman Coetzee, Mapogo A Mathamaga Security Operations Manager.

He added, “A struggle ensued between the client (homeowner) and suspects followed by a gunshot which led to the homeowner being wounded in the right foot.”

According to Coetzee, the suspects also attempted to drag the homeowner’s wife outside the house.

“Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
