Nadia Broodryk, owner of Nadia’s laundry, sewing and boutique in Randgate is the latest business owner to accept #theproudchallenge.
According to Nadia, she and her staff pick up the rubbish in the park across from the business every day.
“We do this because we want to work and live in a clean environment,” she said.
Nadia said Randfontein is in a sad state. She has seen the town in which she grew up deteriorating over the years. “It is as if the majority of the residents aren’t proud of where they live; they litter without even thinking twice. They have no shame.”
According to Nadia it is unfair that there are no municipal services, and if you want anything done you have to do it yourself.
Nadia and her all-female staff will keep on making sure that everything is neat and tidy, because they are proud of where they live.
