The SA Post Office says customers who rent postboxes should renew their annual rental before the end of January 2020.
According to Sbu Xaba of the SA Post Office, the cost of renewal will be R40 higher from 1 February 2020.
“Postboxes are readily available and safe, and they give customers access to their mail at their convenience.”
Sbu also pointed out that customers do not have to pay at the branch where they rent their postbox. Postboxes and private bags rentals can be renewed by debit card or cash at any post office country-wide.
They can also be renewed online at www.virtualpostoffice.co.za.
A year’s rent for a postbox is R535. Pensioners can rent a postbox at a discount price of R340,” added Sbu.
