Underprivileged kids at day care to get gifts

Motswalle/ Friendship Day Care Centre will host a Christmas lunch and hand over gifts to underprivileged kids at Maya’s Playpark in Hillside from 10am on Saturday, 7 December.

This comes after the daycare held a fundraiser at the Highway Bike and Car Wash on Saturday, 30 November.

According to Wilma Coetzee, deputy principal of the centre, the purpose of the event is to benefit the underprivileged children who normally are deprived of a Christmas experience. “Most of them do not even have the luxury of enjoying Christmas or receiving a Christmas gift.”
