R’fontein beauty hosts personal hygiene workshop

Randfontein’s very own beauty and 2019 Face of Miss Signature finalist hosts personal hygiene workshop in Elandsvlei.

Karabo Pororo, Randfontein’s very own 2019 Face of Miss Signature finalist held a workshop at Carryou Ministry in Elandsvlei to educate young boys and girls about personal hygiene.

At least 50 children from the Elandsvlei rural settlement were in attendance on Monday, 25 November.

Karabo said the aim was to teach the children and others how to practice proper personal hygiene.

According to Karabo, the subject of personal hygiene is often neglected and many children are in the dark as to how one takes care of oneself – especially those who live in remote and rural areas.

Speaking about the workshop, Karabo said, “In order to make everything clear we had to do a presentation. We were quite impressed with the way everyone interacted during the session. They asked a lot of questions and really wanted to know more.

“I have decided to take on this project in particular because I felt that most teenagers, be it boys or girls, are not well-informed. Our aim was simply to give them information about how best they can prepare themselves for adulthood,” she explained.

Karabo also partnered with Signature cosmetics and fragrances to hand over cosmetics items to the children at the workshop.
