Police discuss important topics at Westergloor day care

Road safety and children's rights to be protected from sexual abuse and trafficking were but two of the topics discussed by local police at a day care in Westergloor recently.

The Randfontein Police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit took some time off from their busy schedule to visit the learners at Annatjie Day Care Centre in Westergloor.

According to Constable Mabala from the Randfontein Police’s Social Crime Prevention Unit, important topics discussed included road safety, children’s rights, child labour, sexual exploitation, as well as child abuse, sexual abuse and trafficking.

“We also interacted and sang with about 150 children from the day care centre. It was really satisfying and heartwarming to see the learners smiling from ear to ear on the day,” she added.
