Gauteng Premier visits Randfontein

Gatueng Premier David Makhura visited Randfontein for the Mega City project that could benefit 10 000 people.

A total of 100 Afri Village home units were handed over by Gauteng Premier, David Makhura as part of the completed phase of the Mega City project on Wednesday, 20 November.

During the handover of the houses, Makhura said when the project is completed, a total of 10 000 people will benefit from the project.

“We have a new approach in Gauteng province about building human settlement houses. We call these projects ‘mega projects’, because there are 10 000 units in each.

“When this is complete, it will be an integrated development, which will include social housing, low-cost housing, bonded houses and subsidised houses,” Makhura said.
