Police go door to door to tackle GBV

The Randfontein Police joined hands with other organisations to create awareness about gender-based violence in Brandvlei.

Earlier this week, Randfontein Police along with a number of organisations went door to door in Brandvlei as part of an awareness campaign condemning gender-based violence (GBV).

Sergeant Carmen Hendricks, Randfontein Police spokesperson, said they support any campaign that seeks to champion the rights of those in society who are vulnerable.

She said, “During the campaign, a number of pamphlets about safety were handed out to residents”.

Hendricks added the campaign will continue throughout the festive season and is among the intensive efforts to create awareness.
