Newlyweds of the Year 2019: Entries open for October!

Did you tie the knot and declare your undying love to one another in October 2019?

The Herald is running a Newlyweds of the Year/ Pasgetroudes van die Jaar competition from 1 January 2019 until 31 December 2019, in which you lovebirds will stand the chance to win an extra wedding gift or two.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Simply send the wedding photo of your choice to randfonteinherald@caxton.co.za along with the required description details. Remember – only one photo per couple will be considered.

2. The required description details include contact details (for the Herald’s purposes only), the date of the wedding, the name of the venue, the couple’s names and surnames, ages, occupations, and where in Randfontein/ Westonaria you are from.

HOW IT WORKS:

1. There were no entries for June and July but the winning couples for January, February, March, April, May and August have been announced. If you got married between 1 and 31 October 2019, you are eligible to enter for Newlyweds of the Month for October. Your photo must be submitted to the Herald on or before 30 November 2019. All photos will be uploaded onto the Herald’s Facebook page from 1 December 2019, when voting will officially begin. Voting must be done via Facebook likes during November only.

2. The couple with the most likes will automatically be declared the winner for that specific month. They will also stand a chance of winning the prizes up for grabs and title of Newlyweds of the Year 2019/ Pasgetroudes van die Jaar 2019 come the end of December 2019. Overall winners will be announced in February 2020.

3. Please note that all entries will be published online, but only the monthly winners will appear in the newspaper, due to space constraints.

COMPETITION RULES:

1. You or your partner of any age must be a resident of Rand West City.

2. The wedding must have taken place during any month in 2019.

3. Please choose your photo wisely as only one photo submission per couple will be allowed.

4. Please provide the full name/ studio name of the photographer as well as his/ her consent prior to submitting the photograph. Photos without watermarks are preferable, as the photographer’s details will appear in the caption.

5. Open the Randfontein Herald’s Facebook page and ‘like’ the page. Choose the photo you would like to vote for and click the ‘like’ button under the photo. NOTE: Only likes on the Randfontein Herald’s Facebook page will count as legitimate votes. ‘Shared’ photos do not count as legitimate votes. This simplifies the monitoring process.

6. Employees of Caxton and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition.
