Bekkersdal Police Station rewards its staff

The Bekkersdal Police rewarded their staff for their dedication at an award ceremony in Zuurbekom.

A total of 19 staff from the Bekkersdal Police Station were honoured for their hard work and dedication during the 2018/ 19 financial year.

An award ceremony was held for them at the GOG Lifestyle Park in Zuurbekom on Wednesday, 6 November. As part of the prizes, members walked away with certificates, trophies and gift vouchers.

Colonel Tinus Swart, Bekkersdal Police’s station commander, thanked all staff at the station for setting a good example through their diligence.

We believe if you have positive workforce unit, you can achieve good results.

“Therefore, it is important that you as manager recognise your staff for the work they do, so that you are able to keep a positive workforce.”

Swart said on daily basis, men and women in blue work hard, putting their lives on the line, making sure that their fellow South Africans are safe.

“There are many positive things done daily by them, but there is hardly time to recognise them for it because their jobs are highly demanding. Everyone just wants to receive their services, forgetting that they are also human beings, and once in a while they need to be encouraged in the same that every human being is encouraged,” Swart added.
