Brandvlei crash leaves three injured

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle collision on the N14 between the R500 and Brandvlei during the weekend.

Shawn Herbst, Netcare 911 spokesperson said they responded to the accident at about 8.40pm on Saturday night (19 October).

“Medics assessed the scene and found that three people had sustained moderate to serious injuries. The Netcare 911 Rescue Technician with the Fire and Rescue Services had to use the Jaws of Life to free a seriously injured patient from the wreckage.

“The victims were treated on scene by Advanced Life Support paramedics and once stabilised, they were transported to hospital by ambulance for further treatment.”

All necessary authorities were on scene.
