The Randfontein Christian Academy has given an inspiring message to its dedicated teachers with a view to World Teachers’ Day on Saturday, 5 October.

Vanessa Dreyer, spokesperson of the school said, “To my fellow Randfontein Christian Academy teachers, but also to each and every other teacher, may we remember this World Teachers’ Day that we are making an impact on each learner who goes through our class. It is up to us to decide if that impact is a positive or a negative one.”

Vanessa added that teachers may not earn a six-figure salary, drive fancy cars or own designer clothing, but they play an important role in the lives of the learners, especially as part of their upbringing

“We as teachers have such a huge responsibility – not only to ourselves, but also to each child who look up to us for mentoring every day. “Children often spend more time at school each day than they do at home, and it is our responsibility to make sure that school is a fun and safe environment for them to express themselves,” Vanessa concluded.
