Man seriously injured after being hit by car
A male pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by car in Carletonville during the weekend.
A man was critically injured when he was hit by a vehicle on Van Zyl Street in Carletonville during the weekend.
According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, the patient, who is believed to be in his 30s, was found lying in the middle of the road with the vehicle that had hit him parked a short distance away.

“Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition. He was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care,” Meiring said.
He added that the driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries and authorities were on scene for further investigations.
