Dogs and owners walk for a cause

Dog owners and their furry friends walked 3,5km in support of the Rand West SPCA's annual Dog Walk on Sunday, 6 October.

The Rand West SPCA held their annual Dog Walk on Sunday, 6 October.

According to Sass Jacobs of the Rand West SPCA, many people came out with their furry friends to show their support. All the different breeds of dogs were very excited to walk the 3,5km with their owners.

After the walk, dogs had the opportunity to be dipped, followed by a prize-giving. Then the dogs took turns to cool off in a small pool

“All the dogs were great sports and everyone seemed to enjoy the morning out with the SPCA. Although we expected more people, the event went smoothly and according to plan. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us,” Sass said.
