What Gerhard Julie, 57, thought would be a quick stop while doing shopping, cost him a canopy and groceries valued at more than R1 000.
He said the incident took place on Friday, 27 September in West Porges.

I was in and out of the butchery within five to 10 minutes. I was actually in such a hurry that I only noticed the canopy being gone while I was driving.
“I stopped and was shocked to find that the bolts had been hacked off and all the bags with groceries I had on the back of the bakkie were gone,” Julie said.
The shocked Julie urged the community to be vigilant.
