On Saturday, 28 September, Tambotie Mall in Randfontein held a very successful National Cupcake Day.
People from far and wide came to support the cause by buying loads of colourful cupcakes at R10 each, money that will be used to help Cupcakes for kids With Cancer.
There weren’t just yummy cupcakes to indulge in, Goofy was there too!.
According to Sandy Cipriano, founder of National Cupcake Day 4 Kids with Cancer, events were planned for 88 shopping malls across the country as the non-profit company aimed to better last year’s target.
Tambotie Mall in Randfontein was one of the malls to host the event and show its support.
Sandy added, “As a non-profit company (NPC) and a public benefits organisation (PBO), Cupcakes of Hope aims to create awareness and raise funds for children with life-threatening diseases.
“This is achieved through our love of baking cupcakes. The funds raised enable the organisation to assist about 70 patients each month to pay for their medical expenses, day-to-day needs like nutritious food, and transport to and from hospital.”
