Lashika Mora, a 17-year-old from Toekomsrus and matriculant of Ahmed Timol Secondary School in Azaadville, celebrated her matric farewell adrenaline-style when she arrived at the farewell in a helicopter.
The farewell was held at the school on Friday, 20 September. According to Merise Mora, her mother, this was a long time dream of hers.
“Things have not been easy these past few months as she had lost her father and suffered severe trauma, but she never lost focus. It was her dream to be taken to the farewell by helicopter.
“It was a spectacular scene for Toekomsrus as a whole, and it created quite a buzz as this was also a first in the community,” Merise added.
