Join the CANSA relay and support a good cause

The day will kick off with all the cancer survivors walking a lap around the field in honour of their lives

Are you someone for who the word Cancer brings back a painful and sad memory? Or maybe you or a close relative has won the big fight?

Then you need to join the annual Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) relay for life event. This year it will take place on 12 and 13 October on the sport fields of Hoërskool Bastion. Everyone is invited to join in to either honour the memory of a loved one who has lost their battle with the disease, to celebrate a victory over the disease or just to support a good cause.

The theme of the day will be Country and Western and will start at 6 pm on the 12th and end at 6 am on the 13th. Survivors are requested to arrive at 6.30 pm

To ensure the 12 hours go by quickly, there will be a variety of food stalls, live entertainment and exhibitions. Members can sign up as a team, or individually and ticket prices start from R 100 per person. .

The day will kick off with an honour lap around the fie,d by all cancer survivors to celebrate their victory over the big C, whereafter they will be joined by family and friends. Thereafter all participants will join in to walk around the field in honour of those who fought this saddening sickness.

The community is being called upon to come and celebrate the ones that are still with us, remember those that we have lost, and to help fight with those who are still in battle.
