“We held the campaign because we wanted our children to realise how fortunate they are to have parents and guardians who care for them and take care of them,” Marule said.

She said they wanted learners to take note of issues affecting the homeless.

Our learners need to remember that those people are human beings who deserved to be treated better, no matter their circumstances.

“The aim was also for learners to learn how to be kind towards them, how to share anything they may have with them, and not laugh at them or mock them whenever they cross paths.”

Marule said this was also an opportunity for the school to raise funds for their own projects.
