The open manhole that is causing great concern in the community.
For this week’s #Municipal Monday, the Herald met with local resident Herbert Kupfer, who is concerned about an open manhole on the right-hand side of Union Street in Randgate.
According to Herbert, the manhole got blocked and sewage started spilling out. The problem was reportedly fixed, but the open hole is still a big concern because it is close to a school and the learners walk along Union Street on their way home.
“Someone might get curious and try to look inside, and it won’t end well if a child falls in” said the worried resident.
