On a national scale, the country has been rocked by two kidnappings in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively and social media is being flooded with missing person reports on an almost daily basis.

The Herald spoke to Zaheer Gangat, chairperson of the West Rand CPF on behalf of the Missing Persons for South African Support Initiative (Sassi).
