Randfontein cop wins Vita Basadi Award

Constable Portia Mabala of the Randfontein Police Station, received the Vita Basadi Award on Thursday, 29 August in a ceremony held at the Gauteng Legislature.

Constable Portia Mabala of the Randfontein Police Station was honoured at the annual Vita Basadi Awards held at the Gauteng Provincial Legislature recently.

According to their official website, the awards are held to honour the world-changing women of Gauteng. One has to nominate a woman you know who serves and empowers others to be awarded with this accolade and are there eight categories.

Brigadier Mashole Jacob Manamela, the Randfontein Police station commander, congratulated Mabala by saying, “We as management are proud to have a woman of this calibre in our midst. We want to say congratulations to you.”
