Thirteen go head-to-head with the microphone at Spur

On Tuesday, 20 August, 13 talented participants went head-to-head with the microphone and sang their hearts out for top honours at the San Pedro Spur Steak Ranch in Greenhills.

Randfontein’s own family restaurant, the San Pedro Spur Steak Ranch, has announced the winners of its 2019 Singing Stars Competition.

On Tuesday, 20 August, 13 talented participants went head-to-head with the microphone and sang their hearts out for top honours at the San Pedro Spur Steak Ranch in Greenhills.

The winners: Deonè Scheepers, Elandrè Obermeyer and Lethabo Mokgosi, with San Pedro Spur Steak Ranch in Greenhills owner, Tommie Cowan.

According to the Singing Stars Competition’s Facebook page, hosted by local Spur family restaurants, “We’re looking for the most talented young performers in South Africa to take part in the competition. Our competition is aimed at bringing families together over great entertainment by our singing stars!”

Entry was free and kids aged between 6 and 13 years old were welcome to enter.

 

Janesca Smit said this was the third year the San Pedro Spur Steak Ranch had hosted the event and that they were proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 Singing Stars Competition was Deonè Scheepers, from Randfontein. She will now go through to the semifinals that will be hosted in Pretoria.
