Police across the West Rand district are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old woman several times in Khutsong.
Khutsong is a township situated close to the town of Carletonville and it is said the suspect could be anywhere in the West Rand area and its surroundings.

Captain Eddie Boboko, the Khutsong Police spokesperson, confirmed the suspect is wanted for attempted murder.
“We are appealing to members of the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the man in the picture.
“The suspect, who is the young victim’s ex-boyfriend, stabbed her several times with a pair of scissors in an open veld near the railway line in the Khutsong area some time ago.
“He lives in the area but is currently on the run. The suspect might not be armed but is dangerous to the community. We advise the public not to apprehend him and rather call the Crime Stop hotline on 08600 10111 or the investigating officer, Warrant Officer George Mankwe, on 073 455 2767.
