Four former Randfontein Secondary School learners recently received an invitation to the Golden Key Honour Society at the Northwest University.

Lerato Dryers, Jaleel Louw, Jacelyn Symons and Michael Thabang Scheepers were identified as the cream of the crop and invited to become members of this prestigious club.

The DA’s Jacques Julius is a former teacher at Randfontein Secondary and said that the whole community is proud of these students’ achievements. Only the top 15 per cent of students get invited to become members of this club.

“I’m doing a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a module in psychology and I’m honoured to have achieved my Golden Key membership this year. It gives us a lot of international opportunities and we get a discount on our tuition for reaching 75 per cent. It feels good to achieve this but I couldn’t have made it through the hectic academic year without the support of my mother and father as well as God,” added Michael.
