Two men, aged 35 and 46 respectively, have died after their shack caught fire in Bekkersdal on Sunday, 14 July.
According to Sergeant Linkie Lefakane,the Bekkersdal Police spokesperson, the cause of the fire is not yet known, but is currently being investigated.

“Colonel Tinus Swart, our station commander, has expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims and has urged the public to be vigilant and cautious at all time and not leave candles or paraffin stoves unattended as they might be the cause of such tragedies,” Lefakane added.
