Three wanted criminals arrested

Police arrest three wanted suspects linked to a long list of various crimes committed in Randfontein and Bekkersdal.

The Bekkersdal Police have arrested three wanted suspects linked to a long list of crimes committed in the area as well as in Randfontein.

According to Captain Kay Makhubele, the Gauteng Police spokesperson, the trio were arrested before midnight on Tuesday, 25 June, after they were found in possession of two unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

“The suspects were linked to other cases that include robberies, car hijackings, house-breakings and house robberies. The crimes were allegedly committed in Randfontein and Bekkersdal.

“During the operations, police also recovered items suspected to be stolen. Police are continuing to profile the suspects to check if they can be linked to other cases.”

It is believed the suspects have already appeared in the Bekkersdal Magistrate’s Court.

Management of the Gauteng Police commended the officers for continuing to fight crime by putting the people of Gauteng first in arresting the wanted suspects.
